Course Description:

Target Audience: Classroom Teachers PreK-12. The Clinical Educator Training is a program designed to provide direct training for teachers to supervise junior and senior interns. State Board of Education Rule A-5.075(2), FAC requires that teachers receive training in clinical educator techniques prior to supervising interns. The program design provides training to develop clinical skills for the following: identification of performance standards, diagnosis of professional performance, feedback on performance, preparation and implementation of professional development plans, and reflection. MUST COMPLETE TRAINING PRIOR TO SUPERVISING INTERNS. In OCPS it is also required for mentoring beginning teachers. FEE FOR NON-OCPS EMPLOYEES IS $100. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED AT LEAST 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TRAINING DATE. NOTE: This location is in a second story classroom without elevator access.
