Course Description:

In This workshop strategies will be presented for literacy instruction for students who use augmentative/alternative communication, ranging from very beginning/emergent literacy needs, to higher level typical curriculum strategies. Topics covered include: making materials accessible for students with physical limitations, communication interaction and active participation during literacy instruction during, sound manipulation for non-verbal students, vocabulary building, and writing strategies. Target Audience: ESE Teachers, SLPs, Paraprofessionals, and Parents.
